Series of master classes Venice Music

Master will take place at La Fenice

Opera House, Fondazione Levi

and Teatro Malibran.

 

Our welcome desk,  will be located at

the Gran Teatro La Fenice (La Fenice Opera

House , Campo St Fantin, 1965, San Marco,

30124 Venice).

All participants are required to register

upon arrival. Upon registration they will

be granted with a welcome kit including

the detailed schedule of lectures, concerts,

events, basic information, city map and

other additional materials.

 

How to reach Venice

Venice can be reached by plane

(landing at Marco Polo or Treviso

airports), by ship,  by train or by car.

 

From Marco Polo Airport the city

center can be reached via water by:

Although you can drive to Venice,

cars, bicycles and motorcycles are not

permitted in the city. You can leave your

How to reach VMM

 

La Fenice Opera House is located

in Campo St Fantin, 1965, San Marco,

30124 Venice. You can reach it by Vaporetto,

Alilaguna boat from Marco Polo Airport,

water taxi or by feet.

 

Vaporetto

(Public water boat, www actv.it) from

Tronchetto: line 2 towards Rialto bridge,

St Mark and Lido, from Piazzale Roma

and the Santa Lucia train station:

line 1 or line 2 towards Rialto bridge,

St Mark and Lido. Stops: take line 1 to

Rialto bridge, St Angelo, St Samuele or

St Mark (Vallaresso);  or take line 2 to

Rialto bridge or St Mark (Vallaresso).

Alilaguna public transportation

service from the Marco Polo airport take

the orange line to Rialto bridge or the blue

line to St Mark (Vallaresso).

 

Entrances

La Fenice Opera House has two entrances:

— VMM welcome desk will be located

at the main entrance nearby general

Information Desk of La Fenice.

— VMM participants will be granted with

a pass to access the specific location of their

master class from the stage door manned

by a doorman;

 

Access

The theatre complies with all legal regulations

regarding special needs accessibility. Persons with

special needs can access the theatre via an elevator

located on the ground floor on Calle de La Fenice.

We kindly request you to inform us in advance,

so that we can notify the appropriate staff members,

who will be happy to assist you at the theatre.

 

Acqua alta (high water)

La Fenice is in one of the lowest parts

of Venice. Even if July is not a season

of high tides, we recommend to bring

the rubber boots in case if the tide is

expected to reach or surpass 100 cm.

Performances, events and master classes

may be rescheduled for several hours in

case of exceptionally high water levels

(140 cm above the mean sea level).

of Venice’s Centro Maree (tide forecasting

center) website, where you can download

an application with real-time updates of

forecasted water levels for all six of

Venice’s sestieri.
